Info:
Drop off your cans to support the CU Boulder Buffalo Can Challenge - an event where groups design and build sculptures out of nonperishable food items to raise awareness about hunger. Some of our very own Second Congressional District candidates are collecting cans for this "CANstruction project" as we speak. They need your help filling collection bins!
You can take canned goods to the Boulder County Democrats office at 1725B Walnut Street during their regular business hours - 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. There are collection bins for Jared Polis and Will Shafroth. Donate cans to your favorite team or make a contribution to both!
Here are all of the details:
* What: Collect cans for Team Polis and Team Shafroth, or both! Cans will be used to build sculptures and then will be donated to Community Food Share.
* Where: Drop your cans off at the Boulder County Democratic Party office at 1725B Walnut Street in Boulder
* When: Collection bins will be available from April 8th through Tuesday April 22th during regular office business hours (Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m). Or, drop cans off during the Boulder Dems' regular Executive Committee Meeting on Wednesday April 9 at 6:30 p.m.
On Friday, April 25th, head over to CU's Carlson Gym between 3:00 and 4:00 p.m. to view the sculptural masterpieces that our candidates and the other groups have built. All of the cans collected will be donated to Boulder's Community Food Share.
